Barbara (Ebaugh) Mouring

Timonium, Md.

 

Barb, her husband, Bill, and their golden retriever live in Timonium, Md. They were married December 26, 1960. They have two daughters and four grandchildren. Over the years, Barb has been a teacher and continues in this field at the Community College of Baltimore County. Bill was a mechanical engineer and is retired.

 

She is a volunteer tutor of English, and she serves on her college alumni board.

 

They have traveled widely throughout the USA including Hawaii, and have been to Canada, Europe, Asia, Africa, Russia, and the Caribbean.

 

Barb’s message to her classmates is … “Graduation from high school was the start of a long and fulfilling experience for me. After graduating from college, I moved to the Baltimore area and taught elementary school. Later I met and married my husband, Bill, and settled down to be a stay-at-home mom for my two children. When my younger daughter left for college, I began teaching English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) part time. This career has been wonderful for me, giving me a sense of accomplishment while leaving plenty of time for tennis, golf, and travel.”

 

“Life has been great, overflowing with family, friends, and activities. Our two daughters and their families are the pride and joy of our lives. Our older daughter, Ellen, received a Masters of Science in Civil Engineering and is a stay-at-home mom. Our younger daughter, Sarah, received a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering and is an associate professor in Ocean Engineering at the U.S. Naval Academy. She also is an adjunct professor at The Johns Hopkins University. Both Sarah and Ellen are married with two children.”

 

“I enjoy being part of a small high school class and knowing everyone. I truly feel a closeness to all. I have looked forward to our reunions and luckily have been able to attend all of them. I am eagerly awaiting our 50^th reunion! See you then!”

 

Barb has a BS from the University of Delaware and she did graduate work at Towson University and Johns Hopkins University. Bill has a BESCE from Johns Hopkins and he also did graduate work at Johns Hopkins University.
